After Boris Johnson’s call to unite behind Brexit last month, IKB Insider went out into Uxbridge to find out what his constituents from Uxbridge and South Ruislip thought about their MP.
Marcus Grainger, 50, of Granville Road, said: “I agree that we all have to come together, we are stuck with this decision. I think that Mr Johnson first needs to be a part of the community before he can make decisions that would benefit us.”
Shannon Khan, 19, of The Greenway Uxbridge, said: “I love Boris” when asked about his politics she added: “I don’t really know about what he does, he’s more well known for his personality.”
Colin Dawson, 41, of Parkfield Avenue Uxbridge, said: “I want to be out of the EU, so on a certain level I agree with him. But he [Mr Johnson] doesn’t see Uxbridge in the grand scheme of things, when it’s the first place he should be looking.”
Sarah Day, 29, of Watford Road Uxbridge, said: “I personally voted to remain in the EU, but now I just want the arguments over with, if that means we leave then so be it. At least it would be a decision made.”
Patrice Crosbourne, 21, politics student at Brunel University London, said: “I think he’s personable and likeable, for example when he was Mayor of London. But as secretary of state, it’s been an interesting ride to say the least.”
