The knife attacker of an 18-year-old man may still be on the loose in Uxbridge today after police confirmed no one has yet been arrested.

The stabbing happened in the town centre during the daytime yesterday (Monday). The teenage victim was found with several wounds and was airlifted to hospital.

The Metropolitan Police told IKB Insider today that officers were called at 3:34pm on Monday 12 March to Cowley Mill Road, Hillingdon.

Police said: “An 18-year-old man was found with several stab wounds and was taken to an east London hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening.

“The incident is believed to have occurred in Hilton close.

“A knife and a car were recovered by police at the scene.”

Police added: “No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.”

The London Ambulance service and London’s Air Ambulance were also called to the scene.

Police informed the public via twitter that “roads were being closed from Cowley Mill Road to St John’s Road Junction with Riverside way”.

The stabbing occurred just one day after the Mayor of London, Sadiqh Khan, spoke about his determination to tackle knife crime.

Violent crimes in Hillingdon have continued to rise with their being a 48.3% increase between January 2017 and 2018.
