Students voice their opinions on local elections and voting

Despite efforts made by the candidates, many students did not vote in today’s local election as they were unaware that one was taking place.While some students have voted or are planning to, many students did not know that one was even being held. Other students that come from the EU were not aware that they could register to vote in their local elections.

Students also expressed disappointment in the candidates not coming to campus to explain their positions and why they should vote for them.
